Another boring colony wars yesterday... So I'm not gonna post a report. But funny thing, this time round many factions declared war on us, but few actually came and attacked us. Wierd.

A Colony Wars Update by the Malzias Family

At last, a CW that is not boring. There was much more action, more lag, and more pwnage.

I missed the first few minutes of war, but after I joined it was evident that the sleeping dragon had awoken; Illuminati was back in the colony game. This war is probably THE most exciting CW I've attended so far.

At the end of the war, the server's largest factions all managed to gain colonies except Illuminati. WrathOfGod, GuardsOfHonour, Vradical and Halcyon are now the proud owners of numerous colonies.

It was obvious that the powers had shifted to the abovementioned factions. Illuminati's two colonies were quickly overcome and taken.

What I did in this war

Well, I started off with helping to take EL Canon de Diabolica from Illuminati's clutches. We stayed on under orders as another team went to retake our colonies from the previous war. After that, we went on the defensive, guarding our hard-earned trophies ferociously. I was stationed at El Canon de Diabolica, but not before I warped over to other colonies to help defend or ressurect fallen factionmates. I must say the fight at Via Fluvial was intense; many dead members of both WrathOfGod and Illuminati dotted the land. I managed to add to Illuminati's bodycount with my Irawan and my Fighter. I was slightly disappointed; after their hiatus I expected more of a challenge from Illuminati, the one of the three oldest factions still in the colonies race, along with WoG and Vradical. I expected them to be decked fully in elites, but I managed to kill several of them with a single ACR from a +5 Eternal Gaiter. So much for raiding.

Don't get me wrong, certain Illuminati members were as 1337 as they come; I hit Mew's Elementalist with Mortal Eternity and I barely managed to kill her. I also chased someone(I can't remember whose) fighter all over the place, hit him with Atomic Crazy Rush, Dragon Kick, Vortex Slash and Stunning Skewer and I didn't kill him.

El Canon was constantly under skirmish attacks from Illuminati, but we easily overwhelmed them with numbers. Near the end of the war was when the party really started; a whole army of Illuminati's finest charged forward, killing WoG members left, right and centre. Thankfully, members stationed at other colonies heard our call for help and warped there; it was over as soon as it began.

Congrats to WoG, GoH, Vrad and Halc, and +1 for WoG leader aLKayeL for his excellent leadership.(Not tyrannical. Forceful :P)

A Colony Wars Update before I continue...

Last week I wasn't around, but from what I see and hear, here are some of the updates so far.

-WoG now has 6 Colonies :D
-WoG has become a Royalist Faction
-Illuminati continues to be MIA in CW.

There was no change in the colony ownership. Hope for a more exciting one next week :/

Recently I've started attending raids, Vergo and Poison Yard. Vergo is pretty standard, and since there are usually several factions there attacking him, it ends really quick.

Poison Yard is more interesting, albeit more boring.

For those who are ignorant, allow me to enlighten you.

Poison Yard is not exactly a raid per se, but it is somewhat like it. Poison Yard opens daily at 8 and 1030 daily (+8 GMT) and so far, I've fought 2 kinds of Boss monsters in it, Gerero and Chimera.

In terms of strength, Gerero is probably the stronger of the two, being able to slay a whole group of characters in one go with Mjollnir.

However, Chimera is more difficult to defeat. Although his physical melee attack loses out to Gerero, Chimera has an insane regeneration rate and his spells do craploads of damage, not to mention the status effects that he can afflict with his elemental spells are hella irritating.

Going for these raids have made me realise that my equipments are not up to standard; I still do not have my Elite Platemail for my Fighter, although I already have a good shield. I hope the cost for 84 Elites will drop, because with 2.4 92 Elites have been released. Hope for the best, I guess.

I also need to practice PvP more often; Yumeno's been kicking my ass. Real hard.

I think i'm really addicted to GE (not necessarily bad :D)

I saw Haunted Mansion starring Eddie Murphy recently and the first thing that came to mind is Torsche Mansion ._. The place even had a butler that looked like Lloyd and floating candlesticks.

:D

2.4 is out! Get your GPoints ready, people, time to spend spend spend!

As for me, I already got my Angie and Karjalainen :D

I think I'll put a step-by-step guide on how to get them now, since most peeps are having problems.

ANGIE
1. Talk to her at Reboldouex Queen's Gate to start the quest, she's not easy to miss; look to the side nearer to the Stone Pit.
2. She will ask you to hunt Skeleton Footmen at King's Garden for 30 Bones.
3. Bring it back to her and you will be instanced to the Stone Pit; defend her while she builds some cannons.
4. After that, another instance; break some stones, about 10 of them I think.
5. She will ask you for 175 Return Scrolls for all three towns(that's gonna eat about 10k GPoints)
6. Then she will ask you to go back to King's Garden to hunt Lazim Lams for their Wings, she needs 50.
7. Go back to her and she'll tell you that her scrolls got stolen, and she asks you to look for Jean.
8. Talk to Jean in Auch and you'll be instanced to watch him Lionheart the living daylights outta the theives (he rushes in and uses one Lionheart and all of them die. WTH.)
9. After the instance you're brought back to Queen's Gate and you get her card. Hurray!

KARJALAINEN
1. Speak to her with a character wearing a level84 and above Andre-made armor i.e. Gladiator, Clara Mago, Rosa Matrimonio. IT CANNOT BE ELITE.
2. Speak to her with Andre next and you will be instanced to defeat her. You can use all 3 characters in the fight, so no worries. If you have even one Veteran this fight should be easy; she's at level 57. She has ALOT of HP tho, she ate my fighter's Mortal Eternity, Croix Fente, Entrer en Lices and my Andre's Cent Ennui before going down.
3. She gives you her card involuntarily. Yay!

Congrats, you just got your new rNPCs! :D

We had PvP training again on Saturday, but I missed the first part of it...

I joined for the GvG and the last 1v1s and some extra for-fun stuff.

Something new in this week's GvG,so to speak. We had a GE PVP version of Survivor; Callisto, Graywolf and Clovisa on on one team, 9 of us in the other team. I can't remember exactly who was there, but I remember Inazuki, Yumeno, Strikov, XxOptimusPrimexX...and then my memory phails me.

Anyway.

You'd think we,with greater numbers, would be voctorious.

You'd be wrong.

Although they were but three families, all three are seasoned players, all geared in elites with excellent stats.

We rushed straight into the fray, hoping that our sheer numbers could overcome the scouts and pierce the fighter's armor.

We forgot the spellcasters.

Graywolf had his M'Boma fly straight in and HoD'd the lot of us,with more AoEs flooding the arena with red casting circles. My team consisted of my Fighter(Veteran), my Scout(45) and my Sage(72).

Needless to say, my scout and sage were taken out as soon as the first AoE was cast. All around me my teammates were overrun, outmaneuvered, and overpowered. Soon, almost our whole team was defeated. After about 10 seconds of pain, my fighter along with the remaining survivors ran like hell, trying to avoid the Attackers team...

I witnessed some of the last warriors fall; Inazuki, who had run past me, ran headlong into an Attacker. He was quickly overpowered, and I only just managed to escape.

After running for a few seconds Callisto and Graywolf spotted me and started chasing me. To be honest, the elementalist chasing me scared me more than a Math lecture.

His movement speed was higher than mine, so after a long chase Callisto managed to take out my fighter.

Little did they expect I had a surprise for them.

While dead Yumeno's Bernelli ran past, the last survivor on his team. He drew the attention of Clovisa and Graywolf and was promptly hunted down and defeated...but not before my Scout auto-ressed.

This was the trump card I never expected to have.

Thankfully, noone had realised this and I managed to ressurect my fighter and rebuff him for extra speed. The attackers were stumped; they had no idea who had ressed and how they had ressed. They went around checking the bodies, making sure the dead were really dead.

After a few moments of agonising bodysearching they realised I was the sole survivor...but how? They had managed to kill my fighter, why was he still running around.

I unveiled my trump card, and the response was...

"Cheater."-Graywolf

All's fair in love and war.

I started running around again, but my scout couldn't keep up. After I was found my scout was defeated and my fighter was left running around for dear life. Graywolf's M'Boma was the only one out of the ones chasing me who could even come close, but when he had to stop and cast a spell, my fighter managed to escape the AoE. Callisto wasn't chasing me I think, only Clovisa and Graywolf. My movement speed was equal to,if not slightly faster, than theirs, hence the wild goose chase. We lost the matched, but I survived.

The next GvGs weren't as memorable, as they ended fairly quickly. My reflexes weren't fast enough to avoid the AoEs and Zeniths, hence my early demise. Something, to note though, Yumeno was the sole survivor in the second GvG...simply because of Invisible Stalker.

One of the matches had my fighter getting ganked by about 3 families. I could have survived, had I been using a defensive stance like High Guard, but sadly I was using Sidewinder.

After the official matches me, Yumeno, SilentWave and Phoenix had a small battle of our own.

I have only one comment.

Most wizard/M'Boma/ETS users think they're invincible against a fighter as they believe the fighter cannot hit airborne targets.

That's 'cuz they think we stick to High Guard, Back Guard, Stave Guard. They underestimate the power of Advanced Garde.

Its been proven. I've dueled several players, and those using wizzies generally underestimate my fighter. They receive a nasty shock when the seemingly land-bound fighter suddenly unleashes a barrage of gunshots and finish off the last of their HP with a savage uppercut-slash.

Wizard users, fear this skill: Entrer en Lices.

Hesperia dueled me before and I pulled it off while he was running; all three of his characters took the full blast of my attack and hit the floor. Same thing happened for Phoenix. At first he was doing OK, but he started running after I tried to kill his Bernelli. I chased him down and killed his dual-Sage with Entrer en Lices.

Yumeno is growing to be a dangerous duelist. His team is constantly underestimated as their HP is quite low, but he is used to his team. He knows his characters like the back of his hand, and already has many tricks up his sleeve. Having dueled him myself, I know his prowess. He is constantly improving, and I shudder to think how strong he will become when he hits veteran and gets elites.
